FitSpace author handbook
Open dashboard →Revisions & moderation
When a course is already approved, buyers use the current version. Direct catalog edits would show a mix of old and new content. Edits go into a revision — draft of the next version. The catalog and active students keep the old version until an admin approves the revision.
First-time moderation checks the whole course from draft. Revision is only for an already live course.
Approved course (version N in catalog)
↓ you edit
Revision draft (version N+1)
↓ Submit revision for moderation
Revision pending review
↓ approve / reject
Catalog updates (N+1) or stays at N
Revision statuses: draft → pending → approved / rejected. While pending, you can withdraw and keep editing.
Lesson posters (poster_url, thumbnail_time_seconds) are stored on revision videos while a revision is in draft. After approval they copy to live course_videos. See Video posters and thumbnails.
| Stage | Buyer |
|---|---|
| Revision in draft | Old version |
| Revision pending | Old version |
| Revision approved | New version |
Use when preparing a large update and you want a clear separate draft. Same flow: accumulate → submit → wait for approval.
Rejected drafts are not visible to buyers.

Archive hides the course from new sales. Unarchive and submit for moderation again. Existing buyers may keep access per access duration and platform rules — state this in your course description.
